Sara Visits Disney
Sara, of Long Island NY, is one of our more unique wish children. She was just a typical child who fell quite ill from the flu five years ago. Since that time, she has undergone an emergency heart transplant, a subsequent kidney transplant (donated by her father), and an amputation. MLF was blessed to meet such an exceptional family and honored to give them a respite from their arduous daily routine by sending their family to Disney!
When speaking of the experience, Sara’s mother said the following: “We are finishing up are Disney trip with our daughter Sara. It was so well organized and planned with such care. Our representative Connie took care of us like we were her own family. Although we would have preferred not suffering through a heart transplant, kidney transplant, and a leg amputation – knowing that this trip was in the wings helped pull us through. Thank you is not sufficient but with all of our hearts, we are so grateful for your interest in our family. Thank you for breathing a new life into this next happier chapter in our life’s story.” -Tamar
