YOUR STUDENTS can give our children The Courage to Wish for More!
The Marty Lyons Foundation invites your students to be a part of our Foundation’s “Courage Club”.
Here, your students will help grant a wish which will directly impact the lives of our kids by providing them with the courage they need during a very difficult time. It is the support of our community that enables us to continue our mission.
Ways to become a part of our Courage Club are easy and can be done at any time during the school year! Your students can be a leader of their own COURAGE CLUB! (We’ll help!)
• Create their OWN Fundraiser – such as: Movie Nights, Sports Competitions, Walk-A-Thons, Social Media Votes/Campaigns.
• Participate/Volunteer in a local MLF Fundraiser – great way to fulfill their Student Community Service hours.
• “Lace Up” for Wishes – utilize our customized MLF shoelaces as a fundraising tool – get creative…Let’s brainstorm!
Recognition will be given to supporting schools over our social media as well as our website. All participants and contributors will receive a formal acknowledgement letter from the Foundation, which can be used for tax purposes or to commemorate their Student Community Service.
To participate, please fill out the form on this page.
CHeck out our COurage Clubs in action!

Lloyd Harbor Elementary: Dance for Wishes Fundraiser and “Wall of Fame”
The Marty Lyons Foundation recently recognized 4th Grader, Tyler Insalaco, for spearheading the efforts of the 2nd through 6th grade classes of Lloyd Harbor Elementary School to organize their Dance For Wishes fundraiser during gym classes and collecting donations for the “Wall of Fame” displaying cut-outs.
These efforts have raised nearly $5,000 towards granting Emily’s wish. Emily is a 14 year-old girl battling ALL. Her favorite thing to do is to build legos – the more challenging the better! It is only fitting that her wish is to go to Legoland and she is set to go next month!
Special thanks to the teachers and facilitators of this fundraising effort; Ms. Thomas & Ms. Sewell.

The Marty Lyons Foundation would like to recognize Connetquot High School for their first Courage Club fundraising efforts!
A big thank you to the faculty and students of Connetquot High School for being a part of our Courage Club. Their fundraising efforts included raffles sales for prime seats and parking at graduation by the Athletic Council, as well as a “Pie in the Face” day in which students donated $5 for a “pie” to put in the face of a teacher of their choice! These efforts raised over $1,100 for our Foundation! A special thank you to Athletic Director Peter Melore for coordinating these efforts!
