The History of the Carolinas Chapter:
The MLF’s Carolinas Chapter has a pretty awesome story that’s all about growth and coming together.  It started in 2018 as the North Carolina Chapter, joining the already existing South Carolina Chapter in making kids’ dreams come true.  Things took a heartfelt turn when the president of the South Carolina Chapter sadly passed away.  That’s when the North Carolina team stepped up big time, taking over and keeping the wish-granting magic alive in both states.  To reflect this new united effort, in 2022, they renamed it the Carolinas Chapter, showing they’re all in for kids across both North and South Carolina.

Running the show in Wilmington, NC as the President of the Carolinas Chapter is Lynne D’Eramo. She’s not alone in this, though. There’s a fantastic team behind her, including big-hearted folks like Kirsten Daab and Tricia Ireland who serve on their Board of Directors. And let’s not forget the dynamic remote team in Charlotte – Glenn Slezak and Born Hollington who are doing an incredible job too. Together with wish coordinators and a bunch of other fabulous volunteers, they keep the chapter running like a well-oiled machine.

And let me tell you, they’ve been doing some fantastic work! Since they started, in 2018, they’ve granted over 30 wishes in both North and South Carolina. That’s a whole lot of smiles and happy memories for some really deserving kids and their families. The chapter is all about spreading the word and getting more support so they can keep the good times rolling and bring even more joy to these awesome wish kids and their families. It’s really heartwarming stuff!
