3RD ANNUAL LYONS BOWL RECAP
The Marty Lyons Foundation’s Young Professionals Committee recently held its 3rd Annual Lyons Bowl, a flag football event, to help grant special wishes for the children we serve.
The day began with food and beverages being served to over 200 participants and guests inside the exclusive EY Coachs Club, along with great live music provided by Joe Spina & The Miles Road Band. Just before games began, MLF YPC Chairman, Jesse Lyons, greeted everyone in attendance…followed by a welcome from our Co-Founder and Chairman, Marty Lyons. From there, they both distributed two awards to a couple of special people…YPC members, Rachel Keller (Magic Maker) and Jake Brown (YPC M.V.P.)…for all of their hard-work and continued support of our Mission.
Then it was GAME TIME! 12 teams battled it out through the frigid conditions on the same field where both the NY Jets & Giants play and where Super Bowl XLVIII was played…all while working their way through a double-elimination tournament…but only one team would end up with the championship…TEAM SHRIMPY’S!!!
As always, the success of this event could not have been possible without the generosity of our supporters, sponsors, and YPC volunteers, whose collaboration helped us raise over $60,000 to continue making wishes come true for our special kiddos.
